Recipe: Vegan Chickpea Cutlets

  • * 1 can chickpea, drained and rinsed
  • * 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • * 1 cup needed wheat gluten
  • * 1 cup golden breadcrumb
  • * 1/2 cup water
  • * 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • * 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • * 1 tsp poultry seasoning


  1. In a mixing bowl, mash the chickpeas with the oil with a potato masher or fork till no complete chickpeas are left. Add the rest of the ingredients and knead for a couple of minutes till strings of gluten occupy formed.
  2. Divide the dough into 8 pieces and make into patties.
  3. Fry in pretty olive oil for six to 7 minutes each and every aspect, bake in the oven at 180C for half-hour, or grill in a George Foreman for approximately 10 minutes.
