Cretons is a French Canadian dish; it’s very hot in French-talking areas of Canada in particular Quebec. It is a pork spread containing onions and spices. —anka


  • 3 pounds

    ground pork

  • 3

    medium onions, tiny dice or grated on cheese grater

  • 4

    cloves of garlic, minced or grated

  • 1/4 teaspoon

    ground cloves

  • 1/4 teaspoon

    ground cinnamon

  • 2 teaspoons


  • 1-2 teaspoons

    freshly ground unlit pepper

  • 1 cup

    panko bread crumbs pulverised in meals processor (or no longer)
